Axis Communications AB, the market leader in IP Surveillance and Cognimatics AB, a leader in intelligent video surveillance software, announces today that Axis has chosen Cognimatics' software TrueView People Counter and TrueView Report for its AXIS 242S IV VIDEO SERVER. The AXIS 242S IV together with TrueView People Counter and TrueView Report will provide customers with a reliable and easy to use product for automatic people counting. The primary target for the product is the retail industry.
TrueView People Counter is a new image based product for the retail industry that provides easy to use, and accurate, people counting. TrueView People Counter is built on Cognimatics’ patent pending technology for Cognitive Vision which automatically detects objects and events in image streams. The software will support the Axis DSP embedded platform which is found in AXIS 242S IV.
TrueView Report is a powerful statistical software that connects to the people counter and generates analysis and statistics of historic data such as
- totals per day, week, month or year
- compare between days, weeks, months or years.
The companies are now joining forces to offer camera based people counting to customers globally.
